About me

I’m a writer, hiker and trail runner based in beautiful south Wales, specialising in health and wellness content and books. From my early days as a staff reporter on the South Wales Echo to running my own small PR agency, I now balance a select number of clients who share my values and care about looking after each other and our natural environment.

A childhood love of hiking, somewhat lost through my 20s and 30s, found its way back to reshape the way I now live and work. Time is spent in nature every day, influencing the projects I want to work on and with whom. This has included working with BBC Wales and ITV on outdoors programmes such as Weatherman Walking and Coast & Country, recording a podcast with poet Patrick Jones for the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Wales and creating health campaigns and tourism content for clients including Visit the Vale and Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB. Since 2020, I have been an Ordnance Survey ambassador, helping people get outside safely and responsibly, and I’m also an ambassador for outdoor brands 1,000 Mile Socks and Ultimate Performance.

.My first trails book, Heritage Walks in South East Wales, was published by Sigma Press in 2012 and followed by South East Wales Children’s Trails and South West Wales Children’s Trails. I also write fiction and have had a number of short stories published in anthologies, including a number by Honno Press.
